Stan got recognition for his Trans-USA Guinness record and his role as Goodwill ambassador. He is a hilarious personality, who gives hope to thousands of people all across the world. Cottrell is a known name, who unite people belonged to different cultures. He encouraged everyone, who was looking for the hope. He put all possible efforts and broke down the wall that divides one human heart from another. Stan Cottrell ran through the restricted areas of China in 1984. Apart from it, he ran Friendship Run in North Vietnam and in the Soviet Union through most of the African countries. The Superintendent of schools and Munfordville Tourism disclosed a Historical Marker acknowledging Cottrell’s specific ultra-distance running accomplishments, whether it is about breaking the Trans-USA Guinness Record by five days or playing a role of effective Goodwill Ambassador to the people all around the world by his “Friendship Runs.” Stan Cottrell is a great personality, who united people coming from different cultural background.
